Murray State won it's second straight OVC Women's Tennis Championhip with a 4-2 victory over Eastern Kentucky on Sunday. The Racers also earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will find out their opponent on April 28.
Murray State picked up the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Andrea Eskauriatza and Erin Patton defeated Marcela Jimenez and Melissa Gerristen, 8-4, at the No. 2 spots while Alena Vasileva and Megan Blue earned the victory over Marina Marti and Raquel Montalvo, 8-0, at the No. 3 spots.
In singles action, the Racers' Eskauriatza defeated EKU's Amandine Faouzi in three sets (6-7, 6-4, 6-4). Murray State's Nancy Karaky defeated Marcela Jimenez (6-1, 6-1) and Alena Vasileva beat Melissa Gerristen (6-3, 6-1). The Colonels got points at theNo. 2 and No. 3 singles spots.
