EASTERN ILLINOIS 10, SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 9
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Eastern Illinois' Hannah Cole hit a walk-off home run to lift the Panthers past Southeast Missouri, 10-9, in 12 innings. It was the longest game in OVC Tournament history. EIU will face the loser of the SIUE/Tennessee Tech game.
Cole finished the game going 3-for-6 with a pair of home runs and five RBI. EIU's Taylor Miokovic also had three hits while Hannah Rachor went 2-for-5 with two RBI.
Alexis Anderson led Southeast Missouri with four hits, including her second home run of the season. Anderson drove in a team-best three runs. Riley Hayes also hit a homer for the Redhawks as she finished the day going 3-for-7.
Michelle Rogers earned the win for the Panthers as she pitched 9.2 innings, giving up just two earned runs and striking a pair.
Madeline Krumery was tagged with the loss.
MURRAY STATE 5, JACKSONVILLE STATE 5
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Third-seeded Murray State upset No. 2 Jacksonville State, 5-4, on the second day of the 2015 OVC Softball Championship.
Maggie Glass hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth to give the Racers the lead for good. It was her 15th home run of the season. Shelbey Miller went 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI.
Jacksonville State's Savannah Sloan and Whitney Gillespie each has a pair of hits while Sara Borders hit her 18th home run of the year.
The Racers CheyAnne Gaskey earned the win as she gave up just one earned run and struckout three in 4.2 innings of work.
Gillespie took the loss for Jacksonville State.
TENNESSEE TECH 4, SIUE 1
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Fourth-seeded Tennessee Tech upset No. 1 SIUE on the second day of the OVC Softball Championship.
The Golden Eagles will face No. 3 Murray State on Friday while the Cougars play No. 6 Eastern Illinois.
Hannah Eldridge led Tennessee Tech going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI while Sabrie Neeb also had a two hits and Kelley Kenndy hit her fourth home run of the season for the Golden Ealges.
SIUE's Alex McDavid had a team-high two hits while Jordan LaFave had a hit and drove in one run.
Danielle Liberatore picked up her 17th win over the year as she struck out nine batters. Haley Chambers took the loss for the Cougars, fanning 10 batters for the second straight game.
EASTERN KENTUCKY 2, MOREHEAD STATE 0
EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Fifth-seeded Eastern Kentucky defeated No. 8 Morehead State, 2-0, on the second day of the OVC Championship. The Colonels will play No. 2 Jacksonville State on Friday.
Paige Murphy and Shannon McQueen both went 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Colonels. Leanna Pittsenbarger picked up wth win in the circle, stricking out 11 batters and not allowing a run.
Kayla McGuffey recorded three of Morehead State's four hits in the game. Tanna Seuferer suffered the loss.
