#1 MURRAY STATE 5, #2 BELMONT 2
OXFORD, Ala. - Murray State won its first ever OVC Sofball Championship as the Racers defeated Belmont, 5-2.
Murray State's Sierra Gilmore was named the 2022 OVC Softball Championship MVP after hitting a pair of home runs including an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth.
Cheyenne Cavanaugh and Kristen Green both went 2-for-3 to lead the Bruins.
The Racers will find out who they will play in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
