#2 SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 5, #1 BELMONT 4 (10)
LEXINGTON, Ky.
- Southeast Missouri tied the game in the ninth and scored three times in the 10th inning to top Belmont 5-4 and win its second-straight and fifth overall OVC Tournament Championship.

This year marked the 43rd OVC Baseball Tournament (the first elimination style event was held in 1979). It is the first time it has been held in Lexington.

Belmont led 1-0 entering the seventh inning before Peyton Leeper knotted the game with a RBI single that scored Keck.

The Bruins went ahead in the bottom of the eighth on a fielding error and appeared poised to win its first OVC Tournament Championship.  But Andrew Keck smashed the second pitch he saw over the left-field wall to tie the game and forced the first extra innigns game in the OVC Tournament Final since 2009.

In the 10th, Jevon Mason hit a two-run home run and Tyler Wilber added a solo shot to give the Redhawks a three-run cushion. They would need it, as Belmont scored twice to trim the margin to one, but struck out with the tying run on first base.

Jason Rackers was named OVC Tournament MVP after pitching 9.2 innings, allowing three rusn (two earned) and striking out eight while walking only one.  He had started SEMO's first game on Thursday, but was scratched after a long weather delay.
