Chattanooga’s Neva Clark was named the OVC Beach Volleyball Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. The Mocs Corina Vale earned Freshman of the Year honors as voted on by the league’s head coaches and communication directors. Clark and Vale were selected as the Pair of the Year while Coaching Staff of the Year went to Chattanooga.
Clark, a junior from Woodstock, Ga., went 14-11 overall while compiling a 9-1 OVC mark at the No. 1 spot. She becomes the first player to earn the honor twice.
A freshman from Wilmington, N.C., Vale paired with Clark to post a 14-11 overall mark and a 9-1 OVC record at the No. 1 spot. She was named to the All-Freshman team and picked up All-OVC First Team honors with Clark. She is the first Moc to earn the award.
The Chattanooga staff, consisting of Darin Van Horn (Head Coach) and Juliana Van Horn (Assistant Coach) earned Coaching Staff of the Year after leading their team to an OVC co-championship mark of 9-1 while going 16-9 overall.
