OVC Male Golfer of the Week

Maxwell capped a fantastic fall season by placing second out of 76 at the Xavier Invitational held at the Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati. The senior had rounds of 73-65-69 to finish at 207 (-3), two shots behind the medalist. He was one of just two competitors who were below par for the tournament. His second round 65 tied a career-low. Maxwell led the field with the lowest score on Par 4s (4.00), second-lowest on Par 3s (-1), was one of nine players to make an eagle (1), and sank the second-most birdies (11) among all players. His played help the Tennessee Tech team to a second-place team finish. In five events this fall, he had two victories and two runner-up finishes and his 69.7 scoring average is tops in the OVC.

Poizac had rounds of 71-77-69 to finish at 217 (+1) at the Diamante Intercollegiate hosted by Little Rock at the Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. The final round score of 69 is a season-best, and helped the sophomore newcomer jump up 18 spots in the final standings. Overall she tied for 19th out of 104 competitors. Poizac currently ranks 11th in OVC with a 76.7 scoring average.
