DALTON, Ga. - On Saturday the Ohio Valley Conference announced the winners of the All-OVC and OVC All-Newcomer awards for the 2025-26 women's golf season.
In addition Morehead State's
Morgan Kennedy was named the OVC Freshman of the Year.
The awards were announced prior to the Practice Round at the 2026 OVC Championship which is being held at the Dalton Golf and Country Club for the first time. First round action begins on Sunday at 8 a.m. CT.
The OVC Player and Coach of the Year awards will be announced following Tuesday's final round.
Kennedy is the top ranked OVC freshman in the Clippd National Rankings (1216) entering the Championship. In her debut season she competed in eight stroke play (and one match play) events for Morehead State, averaging 77.4 strokes per round (12th in the OVC). Her top finish was a 24th place finish at The Robbie. Overall she is the seventh individual from her school to win the honor (and third winner from MSU in the past four years).
The All-OVC teams included one graduate student, four seniors, four juniors, four sophomores and one freshmen. There were nine individuals who repeat selection from last season.
Two individuals, Little Rock's
Eleonore Aernouts and Morehead State's
Tuva Isebakke each earned the third All-OVC selection of their careers. The other repeat selections were Morehead State's
Amelia Rae Greenlee and
Isabella Wiley, Little Rock's
Iara Martin and
Elvira Flodstrom and Tennessee Tech's
Kaydi Rhodes and
Chloe Griffith and
Kailey Lane.
