Little Rock Leads After Round One of 2026 OVC Women's Golf Championship

DALTON, Ga. – Little Rock is the leader after round one of the 2026 OVC Women's Golf Championship.

The OVC Championship is being played for the first time at the Dalton Golf and Country Club. The course is playing par 72 with yardage running 6,003 yards for the women's teams on Sunday.  Sunday’s weather started as overcast and windy and turned to partially sunny with calm winds in the afternoon.

The Trojans, the 2024 OVC Champions, combined to shoot 311, which was 11 shots better than defending champion Morehead State (322). Tennessee Tech is third (323) and followed by Lindenwood (332), Southern Indiana (333), Bryant (338), Tennessee State (350), Eastern Illinois (351) and Western Illinois (355).

Individually, Little Rock’s Eleonore Aernouts and Cloe Poizac each fired a round of 76 (+4) and are tied for the individual lead. Tennessee Tech’s Chloe Griffith is one shot back (77, +5) while a quartet of golfers are tied for fourth at +6 (78) – Bryant’s Miranda Prober, Lindenwood’s Andrea Alvarez, Little Rock’s Fehild Graesel and Morehead State’s Isabella Wiley.

The OVC Women's Golf Championship will continue with 18 holes of second round action on Monday. The action starts at 8:00 a.m. ET and live scoring can be accessed through links at OVCSports.com.
