Little Rock Leads After Round One of 2026 OVC Men's Golf Championship

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Little Rock is the leader after round one of the 2026 OVC Men's Golf Championship.

The OVC Championship is being played for the first time on the Ackerman-Allen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex on the campus of Purdue University. The course is playing par 71 with yardage running 7,093 yards on Sunday.  

Sunday’s weather started as cool and overcast and ended with a light breeze and full sun.

This year’s Championship features 54 holes of stroke play with the top four teams advancing to Wednesday’s Match Play event.

The Trojans, the defending champions, combined to shoot 279 (-5) which put them five shots ahead of Southern Indiana (even par), who entered the tournament as the eight-seed.  UT Martin is third (+3), one shot ahead of Western Illinois (+4). SIUE is fifth (+10) and followed by Tennessee Tech (+11), Bryant (+13), Morehead State (+14), Eastern Illinois (+17), Lindenwood (+19) and Tennessee State (+22).

Individually, Little Rock’s Mark Stockdale is the leader after a 3-under round of 68. There are 10 other players within three shots of the lead with USI’s Wade Worthington and the Western Illinois duo of Owen Howe and Mateo Rascon tied at 2-under.

The OVC Men's Golf Championship will continue with 18 holes of second round action on Monday. The action starts at 8:00 a.m. ET with a split team start. Live scoring can be accessed through links at OVCSports.com.
