ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The Lindenwood Softball team (28-22, 17-10 OVC) swept Morehead State on Saturday with a pair of 1-0 wins behind solid pitching performances from Ryleigh Owens, Avery Wapp, and Samantha Roulanaitis to help the Lions clinch the number four seed in next weekend's OVC Tournament in Peoria, Ill. Lindenwood will play the winner of SEMO and Western Illinois on Wednesday, May 6 at 5:30 PM CT.
After the game resumed in the second inning, Ryleigh Owens struck out MSU's Sage Vandemark with runners on first and second to keep the Eagles off of the scoreboard. In the home half of the second, Emily Geary hit her eighth home run of the season with a one-out solo home run to left field to put the Lions in front 1-0. Karter Skillman followed Geary's homer with a double to centerfield, but Lindenwood was unable to add on to their lead as MSU's Allicen Harris was able to get the next two Lion batters out to keep the Lion lead at 1-0 headed to the top of the third. Owens limited the Eagle offense the rest of the game allowing just four hits and pitched her third complete game of the season while adding up her team-leading ninth win of the season. The Senior pitcher finished the game with three strikeouts and lowered her season ERA to 3.86.
Offensively, Skillman, Geary, Jolie McMinn, Anna Sanders, and Madisen Noll each collected a hit in the win over the Eagles in game one of the doubleheader to move the Lions' record to 27-22 and 16-10 in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Avery Wapp returned to the circle for the first time since March 22 and was lights out as she allowed three hits over 2.1 innings pitched and struck out four batters as she went through Morehead State's batting order one time on Senior Day. Jolie McMinn delivered the Lions only run of the game in the bottom of the first on an RBI single to left centerfield that scored Tori Hatton, as Lindenwood had two hits in the game with their second hit being on an Anna Sanders single to right field in the bottom of the third. Sophomore Pitcher Samantha Roulanaitis would enter the game in the top of the third and would go the distance as she pitched the final 4.2 innings of the game and allowed one hit and struck out four batters to shut down the Eagle offense in the second game of the doubleheader. Roulanaitis improved her record to 7-1 on the season and lowered her season ERA to 2.60 which ranks second on the team.
The Lions will now prepare for the OVC Tournament which begins next week in Peoria, Illinois. Lindenwood ends their regular season with 28 overall wins and 17 OVC wins, which is a division I Era record.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Raigan Brannon and Gracie Luna each homered to send Southeast Missouri (20-28, 16-10) to a 2-0 victory over Tennessee Tech (16-33, 11-16) Saturday at the Southeast Softball Complex.
SEMO finished off a three-game sweep of TTU and ended its regular-season on a six-game winning streak.
The Redhawks will head to next week's Ohio Valley Conference Tournament as the #5 seed and face #8 Morehead State on May 6 at 12:30 p.m., CT. This year's eight-team event will again be played at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in Peoria, Illinois.
SEMO and TTU were scoreless through three-and-a-half innings before the Redhawks ended that drought in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Brannon hit a home run off the video board in right center for the first tally of the game. Two hitters later, Gracie Luna launched a solo shot over the left center wall to put the Redhawks ahead, 2-0. Brannon and Luna are tied for first on the team with six home runs this season.
Elliott Stinson (5-7) picked up the win. Stinson worked 4.2 scoreless innings allowing three hits and striking out four along the way.
Willow Van Haren kept the shutout intact working the final 2.1 innings with three strikeouts and two hits allowed.
Both teams had six hits. Brannon paved the way going 2-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI for SEMO.
Seniors Stinson, Brittany Affolter, Abby Robbins, Aubrie Shore and Madison Winkler played in their final home game as Redhawks.

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - SIUE softball finished the regular season with a split Saturday and has secured the No. 3 seed for the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Championships.
SIUE, which finished the regular season with a 27-27 record and an 18-9 record in OVC play, won game one Saturday 5-0 and dropped the nightcap 8-0.
The OVC Championships begin Wednesday in Peoria, Illinois, at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex.
As the No. 3 seed, SIUE advanced directly to the double-elimination tournament and will play the winner of the tournament's first game between sixth-seeded Southern Indiana and seventh-seeded Tennessee Tech. SIUE's game is set for a 3 p.m. start and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
On Sunday, SIUE celebrated seniors Kaylin Fahy, Gretchen Trello and Kiana Villa, playing in their final home games at Cougar Field.Avery Arwood earned the complete-game shutout in game one. She struck out nine and allowed five hits while winning her seventh straight game. Arwood is 12-6 heading into the OVC Tournament.
SIUE's offense tallied three runs in the third inning on an RBI double by Aidyn Barrera and a two-RBI single by Betsy Woodward.
Trello helped the Cougars make it 4-0 in the fourth. After a hard hit off Western Illinois pitcher Kaitlyn Green that moved Raegan Duncan over to third base, Trello would steal second but an errant throw allowed Duncan to score.
Duncan would add a towering home run to left field to would cap the scoring.
In game two, Western Illinois rallied for five runs in the third inning and pushed past the Cougars. Western Illinois, now 14-31 overall and 9-17 in the OVC, used a complete-game five-hitter by Lillie Wools to collect the victory.
SIUE finished their final regular season home game with six hits, including two from Fahy.

CHARLESTON, Ill. - Eastern Illinois softball blew open both games against Tennessee State early as the Panthers locked up the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Championship with a weekend sweep of the Lady Tigers. EIU won a pair of run-rule games beating TSU 15-0 and 13-0, both in five innings. EIU ends the regular season at 33-20 overall, 23-3 in the OVC winning their third straight OVC regular season title. TSU ends the season at 2-38 overall, 2-25 in the OVC.
Eastern Illinois scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back as they picked up a 15-0 win over Tennessee State in the first game on Saturday.
Sophia Olman set the tone with her two-run first inning home run; one of four the Panthers launched in the opener. Olman finished the game 4-for-4 with four RBI.
Later in the game Abbi Hatton connected for a grand slam with solo home runs coming off the bats of Peyton Dwigans and Lizzie Stiverson.
Lexie Griffin had three hits followed by Stiverson with two, Mo Hance with two and Marybeth Dyson with two.
Karlie McKenzie struck out ten batters to throw the complete game shutout improving to 10-8 in the season.
TSU had three hits in the game with two coming from Hailey Hunt and the other from Dani James. Miriam Gordon (0-8) suffered the loss.
Big innings again carried Eastern Illinois in the second game to complete the weekend sweep with a 13-0 win over TSU.
EIU scored three runs in the first and broke out for six runs in the third inning. Alisha Frederick had the big hit in the third inning with a two run double.
Frederick was joined with two RBI for EIU by Sophia Olman, Mo Hance and Lexie Griffin. Griffin was the only Panther with multiple hits in the second game as EIU took advantage of ten TSU walks and three hit batters in the game.
Bryanna French (10-6) tossed four scoreless innings for the win with Rylie Schipp closing the final inning.
Alexis Woods had two of the three TSU hits in the game with Noelani Wilkerson adding the other. Tianna Salcido (0-10) took the lossa.
SOUTHERN INDIANA 6, UT MARTIN 1
MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Martin softball team fell in the final game of its 2026 regular season Saturday, 6-1, to Southern Indiana at Bettye Giles Field in Martin.
Despite the loss, the Skyhawks finished the season second in the Ohio Valley Conference, their best finish since 2017 when they also finished second.
The game essentially came down to four hits, as all runs for both teams were scored via the long ball. Southern Indiana entered the game with just two home runs on the season, but that changed Saturday as the Screaming Eagles recorded three.
Kate Satkoski, who had the only two home runs for Southern Indiana before the game, doubled her total as she went yard for two runs in the second and three runs in the fifth. In the third, Lillly Brown picked up her first home run of the season with a solo shot to deep left field.
In the bottom of the fifth, Avary Makarewicz joined the party with her league-best 11th home run of the year to give her 47 RBIs, also a league-high. In the end, the Skyhawks could not get the bats going and fell to the Screaming Eagles, 6-1.
