NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Belmont University's Maci Peckmezian scores golden goal in double overtime in their home opener. First goal to tie the match in regulation was scored by Leah Firsdon assisted by Rachel Vernon.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Eastern Illinois women’s soccer posted its second straight shutout as the Panthers played a scoreless draw at Purdue Fort Wayne.
EIU improved to 1-1-1 on the season as the Panthers blanked Illinois Springfield last Sunday before goalkeeper Faith Davies posted her second straight shutout on Friday against the Mastodons.
Davies recorded ten saves in the win.
EIU’s offensive attack came with three shots on goal as Nicoletta Anuci had a pair of shots on goal. Zenaya Barnes collected the third for EIU.
The Panthers play on Sunday at Wisconsin.
KANSAS STATE 5, AUSTIN PEAY 0
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay State University's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to Kansas State, Friday, in its home opener at Morgan Bros. Soccer Field.
Kansas State (2-1-0) jumped out to an early lead with goals in the seventh and ninth minutes. Making her first start of the season in goal for Austin Peay (0-3-0), sophomore Chloé Dion made a pair of saves on Brookelynn Entz shots in the 19th and 20th minutes to keep the score at 2-0 at halftime.
The Wildcats found the back of the net in the 51st and 58th minutes to stretch their lead to 4-0. Dion once again bounced back with saves in the 67th and 69th minute, before Kansas State scored the final tally of the night in the 75th minute.
Dion made her fifth and final save of the night in the 88th minute of the match. Junior Anna McPhie fired the first two shot of the match for the Govs, with both missing the target. Freshman Avryn List took the final two shots of the night for the Governors, putting shots on goal in the 56th and 79th minute.
Austin Peay will be back in action when it plays a 4 p.m., Sunday match against Miami (OH) at Morgan Bros. Soccer Field. Before the Govs take on the Redhawks, Kansas State and North Alabama will play a 1 p.m. match in Clarksville.
