UT MARTIN 1, EASTERN ILLINOIS 0
CHARLESTON, Ill. - For the sixth time in program history, the University of Tennessee at Martin earned the right to be called Ohio Valley Conference regular season soccer champions as the Skyhawks dialed up a gritty 1-0 victory in the regular season finale at Eastern Illinois.

UT Martin, who also won OVC regular season crowns in 2021, 2018, 2014, 2013 and 2009, is now tied with Southeast Missouri for the most regular season soccer titles in league history.

The Skyhawks will now host the 2026 OVC Championship semifinals and finals rounds, which will take place on Thursday, Nov. 12 and Sunday, Nov. 15 on the UT Martin campus. The Skyhawks will make their tournament debut on Thursday at 3 p.m. against an opponent to be determined.

The Skyhawks found themselves in the win column after junior defender Allie Carroll netted her third goal of the 2026 campaign off a free kick assist from Reece Windsor in the 13th minute.

That score was more than enough for the vaunted UT Martin defense and fifth-year goalkeeper Mac Titus, who became the program's single-season shutouts leader today with her eighth clean sheet of the fall. It also marked the 18th career shutout in three seasons in a Skyhawk uniform for the Chelsea, Ala. native.

The UT Martin defense limited the Panthers to just seven total shots with only one attempt on goal as Titus was there for the save in the 35th minute.

The Skyhawk victory improved UT Martin's record to 6-5-7 overall with a 4-1-2 mark in the league standings. UT Martin capped off the 2026 regular season going unbeaten in the final four matches, conceding just one score over that span which began on Oct. 15.
