MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team took a season-high 23 shots, but none found the back of the net in Saturday's 0-0 tie with Southern Indiana in the Ohio Valley Conference opener for both teams.
The offensively-minded Skyhawks put seven of their 23 shots on target in the match, while Southern Indiana took 13 total shots and put four on target. The Skyhawks were almost equal with Southern Indiana in set pieces in the match, with eight corner kicks and four free kicks for the Screaming Eagles, compared to seven free kicks and four corner kicks for UT Martin.
Alexandra Weihs led the charge for UTM with eight shots total and four on goal, while Ava Huntrods had six shots and one on goal. Peyton Cook also had multiple shots in the game, finishing the night with four shots and two on target.
Mac Titus earned her fifth clean sheet of the season by going all 90 minutes between the posts and making four saves.
