• Final 2026 Conference RPI Rankings
The Ohio Valley Conference finished the 2026 baseball season ranked No. 10 as a Conference in the RPI, the highest-ever finish for the League. The 10th place finish (out of 29 conferences) bested a No. 15 finish a season ago for the Conference (which at the time was the highest finish for the League in 25 years).
Below are some facts on OVC baseball:
• Six teams (Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, Little Rock, Morehead State, SIUE, Southeast Missouri) won 30 or more games in 2026, only the second time (2016) in league history that has happened
• Two teams (Little Rock, Southeast Missouri) won 39 games, tying a school record for SEMO and setting a new mark for Little Rock
• An OVC team (Little Rock) reached the Super Regionals for the first time since 2018.
• Had a team ranked in multiple Top 25 polls at the end of the season for the first time since 2018.
• OVC teams were 144-127 in non-conference play, including a 25-8 record in the final four weeks of non-conference play during the regular season.
• OVC teams had four wins over nationally-ranked opponents in 2026, and have 34 wins over Top 25 teams since the beginning of the 2018 season. OVC teams have four victories over No. 1 ranked teams since 2019 (Vanderbilt, Louisville, Tennessee and LSU).
• SEMO finished with an RPI of No. 45, the highest in its program history, and tops among OVC teams in 2026
• The OVC Tournament was one of the most competitive in recent history, with six games decided by one run, two others decided by two runs and only one of the 13 games decided by five or more runs.
• SIUE won its first-ever OVC regular season championship, finishing the season with 33 overall wins, a new program record at the Division I level
• Over the past eight years, eight different programs have won an OVC regular season championship
