The 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Championship is scheduled to get underway on Wednesday with two games.
In the first game of the day No. 5 seed Eastern Kentucky topped No. 4 seed Jacksonville State 11-2 behind an 18-hit attack. The nightcap saw No. 6 Southeast Missouri upset No. 3 Belmont by scoring three runs in the top of the ninth inning.

fourth year in a row it has been held at The Ballpart at Jackson (formerly Pringles Park) in Jackson, Tenn. T
he venue is home of the Jackson Generals, the AA-affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.

#5 EASTERN KENTUCKY 11, #4 JACKSONVILLE STATE 2
JACKSON, Tenn. - No. 5 seed Eastern Kentucky snapped a six-game losing streak at the OVC Tournament with a convincing 11-2 victory over No. 4 seed Jacksonville State.
Catcher Sean Hagen hit a 3-run home run in the third inning to put the Colonels (21-32) on top for good. OVC Rookie of the Year Kyle Nowlin finished the game 3-for-5 with two RBI.
The Colonels added four runs in the top of the ninth to put the game out of reach.
Brent Cobb (7-6) went eight inning and allowed just two runs while striking out four. He scattered nine hits and was relieved by Cody Creamer who pitched the ninth inning.
Casey Antley (6-5) took the loss, alloing six runs over 4.1 innings of work.
The Gamecocks were powered by third baseman Eddie Mora-Loera who was 3-for-4 with a run scored.
#6 SOUTHEAST MISSOURI 9, #3 BELMONT 6
JACKSON, Tenn. - Derek Gibson singled home two runs in the top of the ninth inning as No. 6 seed Southeast Missouri upended No. 3 Belmont 9-6 on Wednesday night.
Southeast Missouri (25-31) grabbed a 5-0 lead after two and a half innings before Belmont (37-19) stormed back to eventually tie the game at six after four frames.
Neither team would score for the next four innings as the game remained knotted until the ninth inning.
The Redhawks were able to get to Belmont closer Josh Davis in the final inning to pull out the victory. Second baseman Jason Blum was hit by a pitch in the inning to help spark the really. Blum had a monster day, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two walks, the hit by pitch, two RBI and four runs scored.
Nolan Fisher added three hits for Southeast who had 17 total hits on the night.
Belmont was led by Matt Beaty who was 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Bobby Hurst (4-4) was the winning pitcher, going to the final 1.1 innings and allowing just two hits. Davis (1-1) took the loss.
