KNOXVILLE, Tenn.
- Belmont produced nine hits against Tennessee but was unable to overcome errors in a 7-2 loss on Wednesday.

Starting on the mound for the Bruins was Dom Veltri. He pitched two innings for the Bruins. Also pitching for the Bruins were Christopher Carroll, Alex Ward, Connor Etheridge, Chase Cunningham, Tyler Vaughn and Josh Tubbs.

Despite putting nine hits on the board, the Bruins were only able to plate two runs against the Volunteers. Three Bruins went 2 for 4 at the plate; Drew Fergsuon, Tyler Walsh and Drake Byrd.

In the top of the fifth, the Bruins plated a run on back to back, two outs doubles by Byrd and Brennan Washington. Another run was plated in the top of the sixth when Nick Egli reached base on an RBI fielder's choice plating Ferguson who led off the inning with a double.

Tennessee capitalized on the Bruins errors for three two run innings. The Bruins record overall drops to 25-22.

EVANSVILLE 19, UT MARTIN 2
EVANSVILLE, Ind.
- Junior shortstop Matt Hirsch extended his hot streak at the plate with three more hits tonight but it wasn’t enough as the University of Tennessee at Martin baseball team dropped a 19-2 decision at Evansville.
            
In addition to his three hits, Hirsch also scored the first run for UT Martin (15-31) this evening. He is now hitting .407 (24-for-59) over his last 16 games dating back to April 10 – raising his season batting average to .295 in the process.
            
Taylor Douglas was responsible for a run and an RBI for the Skyhawks while Nico Zych also collected an RBI for UT Martin.
            
On the mound, Quinton Stevens (1-1) was charged with the loss after he pitched the first three innings. Cole Schaenzer (1.2 innings), Chris Flores (0.1 innings), Daniel Shaw (zero earned runs over two innings) and Douglas (one perfect inning) also made relief appearances for the Skyhawks.
            
Evansville (27-19) scored a pair of runs in the first inning and added four more runs in the second inning to take a 6-0 lead. UT Martin got on the scoreboard in the top of the third, as Hirsch singled with one away to lead off the rally. Douglas then smoked a triple to center that plated Hirsch and Zych followed with a double out to left to slice the Skyhawk deficit to 6-2.
            
Stevens needed only eight pitches to get through a clean third inning but the Purple Aces tacked on six runs in the fourth and four more runs in the fifth. Evansville then scored two runs in the sixth and one unearned run in the seventh before Douglas retired the side in order in the bottom of the eighth.
            
Meanwhile, the Skyhawk offense was able to manage a hit in each of the fifth through eighth innings but could not manufacture a run.
