OVC Players of the Week
PLAYER
Hayden Gilliland, C • 5-11, 175, Sr. • Maryville, Tenn. • Tennessee Tech
Gilliland hit .625 (10-for-16) with seven runs scored, two doubles, a home run, six RBI, a .667 on-base percentage and .938 slugging percentage as Tennessee Tech capped off a perfect 4-0 week to improve to 6-1 on the season. The senior produced a pair of four-hits showings while recording at least one knock in each game during the week. He went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs at Alabama A&M and was 4-for-4 again in the series finale with Sacred Heart, scoring three times with three RBI. He scored in each contest and tallied two doubles and a home run.

PITCHER
Jacob Weatherley, RHP • 5-11, 175, Sr. • Jonesboro, Ark. • Little Rock
Weatherley pitched six innings of relief over two games, not allowing a run in helping the Trojans to wins in both games and a 3-1 overall week. In Friday's game with Illinois State, he came on in the ninth inning and pitched four innings, as the Trojans eventually walked off a 5-4 victory in the 12th inning. Weatherley scattered three singles, struck out three batters and retired seven of the last eight batters he faced. Two days later he entered the game in the eighth inning, allowing two singles in that inning before striking out the final four batters (and six total) of the game as Little Rock won 10-5. Overall he struck out nine batters and allowed five singles over his six innings of work. Weatherley has yet to allow an earned run in three appearances this season.
