OVC Players of the Week
PLAYER
Logan Castleman, OF • 5-11, 195, Sr. • Taylor Mill, Ky. • Morehead State
In four games last week Castleman hit .357 (5-for-14) with seven runs scored, three home runs, nine RBI, a .526 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage. The senior was 2-for-4 with two RBI in the team's midweek game at Ohio State. On Friday he had a huge day, going 3-for-4 with three home runs and five RBI in a victory over Western Illinois. He followed that with another RBI in game two and scored twice in the finale as MSU took the weekend series from the Leathernecks.

PITCHER
Landon Smiddy, RHP • 6-0, 225, Sr. • Knoxville, Tenn. • Tennessee Tech
Smiddy was named OVC Pitcher of the Week for the second time in three weeks after tossing a complete game shutout against Lindenwood on Friday. It was the first complete game shutout for a Tennessee Tech pitcher since the 2018 season. The senior allowed three hits while striking out 10 batters on the night (the second time this season he has hit double-digits in strikeouts). After surrendering a hit with two outs in the first inning, Smiddy did not allow another hit until the leadoff batter of the eighth inning.
