Now in its 73rd year, the Ohio Valley Conference continues to build on the success that has made it the nation's eighth-oldest NCAA Division I conference. Over those 73 years the League has inspired student-athletes to realize their academic aspirations, maximize their athletics potential, and cultivate their leadership skills to prepare them for life beyond their collegiate experience.
As part of a new partnership with
GameTime Hydration, each week through the rest of the academic year, we will honor an OVC student-athlete who has excelled in the classroom, in addition to earning accolades on the playing surface.
This week's honoree is Murray State senior golfer
Quinn Eaton. He is majoring in business administration and was named to the 2019-20 OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Last season on the course he appeared in 14 rounds. In 2018-19 he shot a career-low 61 (10 under par) in the first round of the Miller Memorial Invitational; he would go on to win that tournament medalist title.
