GameTime Hydration Student-Athlete of the Week: Sierra Gilmore

Now in its 73rd year, the Ohio Valley Conference continues to build on the success that has made it the nation's eighth-oldest NCAA Division I conference. Over those 73 years the League has inspired student-athletes to realize their academic aspirations, maximize their athletics potential, and cultivate their leadership skills to prepare them for life beyond their collegiate experience.

As part of a new partnership with GameTime Hydration, each week through the rest of the academic year, we will honor an OVC student-athlete who has excelled in the classroom, in addition to earning accolades on the playing surface.

This week's honoree is Murray State senior infielder Sierra Gilmore. She earned the OVC Academic Medal of Honor for the 2019-20 academic year after earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

In 2019 she was named to the OVC All-Tournament Team. A year ago she hit .369 with 16 runs scored and 26 RBI in 22 games. This year she has started all 38 team games and has 32 hits, 10 doubles, three home runs and 26 RBI.
