GameTime Hydration Student-Athlete of the Week: Emily Holten

Now in its 73rd year, the Ohio Valley Conference continues to build on the success that has made it the nation's eighth-oldest NCAA Division I conference. Over those 73 years the League has inspired student-athletes to realize their academic aspirations, maximize their athletics potential, and cultivate their leadership skills to prepare them for life beyond their collegiate experience.

As part of a new partnership with GameTime Hydration, each week through the rest of the academic year, we will honor an OVC student-athlete who has excelled in the classroom, in addition to earning accolades on the playing surface.

This week's honoree is Southeast Missouri senior soccer defender Emily Holten. Last year she was named to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll as a marketing management major who is also working on her MBA.

As a junior in 2019, she played in all 17 games, registering five shots on goal and an assist. During this spring season she played in 11 games, tallying an assist and helping Southeast Missouri to a 7-4-1 record.
